Tech startup receives funding to provide home car care service

Subscription-based car service allows members to get free unlimited oil changes and discounts on all other car repair services along with a dedicated technician, via app

Dallas—Goodhood, a subscription-first tech startup, has announced $2.6 million in seed funding. The round was led by New York-based Bullish with participation from existing investors Okapi Capital and Mucker Capital. New investors include New Age Ventures, Kubera Venture Capital, and Dallas-based Impact Ventures, among other executives as angels.

“Time-starved Americans have benefitted from do-it-for-me services and yet the automotive industry has been largely destination and supply-side dominant,” said Brent Vartan, Managing Partner, Bullish. “Goodhood has unique empathy for the challenge and is obsessed with delivering a superior customer experience across a number of key markets, particularly Dallas. We are excited to partner with Prashant in driving the company’s growth.”

Goodhood will use the funding to build advanced technology and operations to grow its Goodhood Auto Club subscription service.

The subscription allows members to get free unlimited oil changes and discounts on all other car repair services along with a dedicated technician. All services can be performed in the member’s driveway and accessed via a mobile app.

“Think of Goodhood as the Amazon Prime for your car, where a single subscription brings car care right to your doorstep,” said Prashant Salla, Founder and CEO of Goodhood.

Future plans include adding more value to the Goodhood Auto Club with the addition of roadside assistance and insurance services.

“We’re laser-focused on delivering a great customer experience while strategically adding more value to the subscription. Eventually, you will just need one app on your phone to conveniently manage your car after purchase,” added Prashant.

Sean Robenalt, Co-founder and CTO of Goodhood, added, “Goodhood leverages cutting-edge automotive technologies to provide an unmatched customer experience. Through our app, users can easily access service reminders, request technicians on-demand, and benefit from predictive maintenance capabilities. Our AI integrations enhance each interaction with a delightful, immersive, and educational touch.”

With the launch of the Goodhood Auto Club and the support of its investors, Goodhood aims to make car ownership convenient for customers in Texas and Michigan while looking toward national expansion.
