New woman-owned shop brand launches 25-plus locations

Franchises that previously operated under the name of the Car-X network have rebranded to Xpress Pro Tire & Auto

Cincinnati, Ohio—An automotive service provider has announced its evolution under the leadership of auto industry entrepreneur Pallavi Gorrepati.

With 25-plus locations, the franchises previously operated under the name and identity of Car-X. As the daughter of the company’s founder, Pallavi Gorrepati made the decision to reclaim her family’s business and create her own brand: Xpress Pro Tire & Auto. The network of immigrant-owned auto shops has been in operation for more than 40 years, and now, the Gorrepati family is taking full ownership of their business.

As a family-owned and female-led business, Gorrepati said she knows her leadership breaks stereotypes. According to a 2023 study conducted by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, women make up roughly 12.1% of the automotive repair and maintenance industry, and according to a study by Ratchet + Wrench, about 5% of auto shops are owned by women.

Seeing firsthand how female patrons have expressed discomfort in automotive environments, Gorrepati said she has made it her mission to provide assurance and transparency to female customers under her leadership.

As Xpress Pro Tire & Auto continues to expand its presence in the Midwest, Gorrepati said she remains dedicated to upholding the family legacy while embracing innovation and growth.
