The McCarthy Family supports UAF as Lifetime Trustee

They will establish the Ralph McCabe & Dominic Molfese Memorial Scholarship in honor of their grandparents who had careers in the industry

Chicago—The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) has welcomed The McCarthy Family as a new Lifetime Trustee. In addition to attaining this elite status, Angela (Molfese) and Paul McCarthy have established a scholarship honoring their grandfathers, Dominic Molfese and Ralph McCabe.

McCarthy, CEO of MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association, will represent the family on the UAF Board of Trustees.

“Angela and I believe deeply in the University of the Aftermarket Foundation’s mission to create opportunities for future automotive service professionals through scholarships and education,” said McCarthy. “After years of working with UAF on behalf of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers, I have seen firsthand the life-changing impact its scholarships have on students and the future of our industry.

“Technicians are the backbone of the aftermarket and by investing in the next generation of skilled professionals, we are helping strengthen our industry.

McCarthy continued to say they are also honored to establish a scholarship through UAF in memory of their grandfathers. “Both men built their lives and supported their families through automotive repair careers. Angela’s grandfather, Dominic, spent his career helping build the legendary Chevy small-block V8, while my grandfather, Ralph, was a lifelong repair professional in Peoria, Illinois whose passion for automotive service inspired generations of our family, including me.

“We are very proud to invest in the next generation of aftermarket professionals and give back to a tradition that has provided so many opportunities for our families.”

Roger McCollum, MAAP, UAF chairman, said, “Angela and Paul’s decision to support the University of the Aftermarket Foundation demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to the future of our industry. Their leadership, generosity and dedication to the future of the automotive aftermarket exemplify the spirit of UAF, and their thoughtful support will create lasting opportunities for students pursuing careers in our industry.”

The Lifetime Trustee designation is reserved for outstanding donors who support the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and its mission. The University of the Aftermarket Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
