Awards recognizes investments in advanced diagnostics, sustainable practices and community engagement, and commitment to aftermarket future
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.—Bosch Mobility Aftermarket has presented SSA European Auto Repair, a Kingston, Massachusetts-based independent repair shop, with the 2026 Bosch Shop of the Year award for its commitment to the future and growth of the automotive repair industry.
The Shop of the Year Award recognizes shop owners within the Bosch Workshop Partner program, which aims to boost quality, build trust and drive growth in independent repair shops across North America.
“SSA European Auto Repair shows what is possible when an independent shop embraces new technology, invests in advanced, data-driven diagnostics and focuses on meaningful technician development, all in pursuit of better serving its customers and community,” said Todd Hertzler, North American regional president at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket.
SSA European Auto Repair was founded in 2015 by Justin Becker as South Shore Autoworks in Kingston, Massachusetts.
Becker, a certified master technician with more than 20 years of automotive industry experience, began his career in the dealership world before opening his own shop with the goal of bringing dealer-level expertise to South Shore drivers in an independent repair environment.

What began as a single-technician operation has grown into a team of more than 20 employees, including 11 technicians with more than 200 years of combined automotive experience.
Today, SSA European Auto Repair maintains a 4.9-star Google rating across nearly 600 reviews and is opening a second location in Canton, Massachusetts, to bring its approach to a new community.
Forward-Looking Innovation
Over the past year, SSA European Auto Repair has focused on incorporating modern technology and data into its daily operations. The shop designed its own internal operating system, “Momentum OS,” which integrates with Tekmetric to track key business and shop metrics in real time. \
The system also includes Tech Assist, an AI diagnostic tool that helps technicians troubleshoot vehicle concerns using the shop’s database of previous repairs to identify common solutions for specific symptoms. T
he shop has also invested in advanced diagnostic equipment, including PicoScopes and oscilloscopes, as well as AI-driven call analytics, marketing attribution and daily quality audits. It backs its work with a five-year/60,000-mile warranty.
Commitment to Sustainability
SSA European Auto Repair recycles 100% of its used motor oil, along with scrap metal, cardboard and paper, and works with licensed recyclers to properly handle other automotive waste.
Digital inspections, estimates and records have reduced paper use, while energy-efficient LED lighting is used throughout the facility.
The shop also helps customers consider repairing and maintaining their existing vehicles through a tool in Momentum OS that compares repair costs with the cost of purchasing a new vehicle. These practices will continue at the shop’s second location, which includes two waste-oil heaters.
Giving Back
SSA European Auto Repair provides educational resources and repair classes to help drivers better understand and care for their vehicles.
The team also mentors local small business owners and supports youth, school athletics and automotive community organizations. As a growing local employer, the shop has also created more than 20 jobs and career opportunities while investing in ongoing training and development for its team.
“We’ve built SSA European Auto Repair around a simple idea: an independent shop can provide dealer-level expertise while creating a great experience for customers and a place where people can build a career,” said Justin Becker, founder of SSA European Auto Repair.
He continued, “Everything we’ve invested in, from advanced diagnostics and training to Momentum OS and our second location, is about preparing for the future.
“We’re proud of what our team has accomplished and grateful to Bosch Mobility Aftermarket for recognizing the work we’re doing to move the independent automotive repair industry forward.”
SSA European Auto Repair is the flagship business of Momentum Companies, a group of businesses focused on helping people grow.
The company’s long-term plans include expanding SSA European Auto Repair to 25 European specialty locations and launching Pure Automotive, a general repair division planned for 2028.
