More than $14,000 in scholarships, as well as a tool certificate from NAPA Tools & Equipment, were awarded this year to 14 students
Sacramento, Calif.—CAWA, Representing the Automotive Parts Industry, has announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarship awards.
CAWA provided more than $14,000 in scholarships this year to 14 students. “Once again, CAWA is proud to assist these young people in pursuing their education and careers in the auto care industry,” said Rodney Pierini, president and CEO, in announcing the awards.”
He added, “They will not only receive a financial scholarship from CAWA but also a tool certificate from NAPA Tools & Equipment.”
Recipients of this year’s scholarships are:

• Hudson Kimmel, McPherson College
• Endenilson Sorto Pleitez, DeAnza College
• Thanh Tuan Kiet Lam, Cal Poly Pomona
• Emmanuel Gonzalez de la Cruz, Chabot College
• Isabel Tuman, Weber State University
• Chu Ern Munina Lam, Pasadena City College
• Quoc Hung Pham, DeAnza College
• Saibien Hamilton, Butte College
• Gavin Johnson, Yavapai College
• Taijai Carson, Victor Valley College
• Ahmad Tamim Sultani, Chabot College
• Minkaug Htet San, Skyline College
• Marcello Dean, McPherson College
The primary scholarship fundraising effort by CAWA is its annual dinner gala, underwritten by Motorcar Parts of America, to be held the Sunday night before the AAPEX and SEMA Shows. This year it will be held at the Venetian in Las Vegas on November 1.
Scholarship funding comes from CAWA individual members, companies and a grant provided by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.
