Automotive group enters Chicagoland market to expand sales and service

Walser Automotive Group acquires Continental Nissan in Countryside; “We were able to pivot quickly from surviving to thriving,” CEO says

Minneapolis—Walser Automotive Group, a Minneapolis-area based dealer group, has announced it will buy Continental Nissan of Countryside, Ill. The single-point purchase, which closed Oct. 1, will mark Walser Automotive Group’s entrance into the Chicagoland market. The store will transition to the name of Countryside Nissan.

“This year has been a tremendous challenge for everyone. Thankfully, we were able to pivot quickly from surviving to thriving,” said Walser Automotive Group CEO Andrew Walser. “This has really allowed us to continue selling and servicing safely while keeping our eyes open for acquisition opportunities such as this. We are excited to take this next step into a dynamic Midwest market.”

Walser Automotive Group operates 17 new and used vehicle retail locations in greater-Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minn. It also operates nine luxury new and used stores on the Walser Auto Campus in Wichita, Kan., which was acquired in 2016.
