MAHLE Aftermarket positions as full-service provider at AAPEX

The supplier will also prepare independent shops for high-potential growth topics such as e-mobility and thermal management

Las Vegas—At this year’s Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAPEX), MAHLE Aftermarket will present itself as a full-service provider to its customers—featuring a unique product range to demonstrate its one-stop store approach for high-performance engine parts for heavy- and light-duty vehicles.

The service and spare parts division of the German-based automotive supplier will also prepare independent workshops for high-potential growth topics such as e-mobility and thermal management.

“The demands placed on workshops are changing and becoming more diversified. Battery-electric, hybrid drives and combustion engines, as well as hydrogen drives, form the powertrain mix of the future, both for passenger cars as well as heavy-duty,” said Philipp Grosse Kleimann, member of the MAHLE Management Committee and Head of the Aftermarket business unit.

For the first time, MAHLE will showcase battery diagnostic and service solutions to the North American market. The AAPEX Show takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. MAHLE Aftermarket’s booth is A2661.

“Our full line-up of aftermarket and service solutions is designed to align with our strategy MAHLE 2030+ which is to positively shape green mobility of tomorrow, with a keen focus on electrification and thermal management as well as continuing to serve the ICE market,” said Jon Douglas, President, MAHLE Aftermarket North America.

MAHLE Aftermarket uses the original equipment expertise of the MAHLE group and is thus able to supply workshops and wholesalers with high-performance and high-quality spare parts and service solutions.

Today, technicians are increasing their demand for the ability to replace the OE part with an aftermarket component that looks, feels, and performs as good or better than the original.

From performance, heavy-duty and light-duty vehicle engine parts to filters, thermal management, and the latest state-of-the-art systems the aftermarket full-service provider will showcase its portfolio of engine product innovations, including CLEVITE bearings, MAHLE pistons and rings, and valves. For gaskets, MAHLE is the leading supplier in the aftermarket area, with more than 10,000 part numbers for nearly 900,000 applications.

In addition, MAHLE offers a variety of air, oil, fuel, and cabin air filters, to improve air circulation and eliminate harmful toxins from entering the vehicle. In fact, MAHLE CareMetix cabin air filters are engineered with S5 broadband technology to provide drivers and passengers with five layers of protection.

“In the course of the transformation to e-mobility, MAHLE has been expanding its activities in the field of electrification and thermal management and is one of the innovation drivers in these technologies. We are setting the Aftermarket portfolio of tomorrow,” said Philipp Grosse Kleimann.

The re-designed FluidPRO ATX-280 for transmission fluid exchange makes its North American debut at the MAHLE AAPEX booth. Featuring a large touchscreen display and the adoption of a new graphical interface for easier customer operation. When connected to Wi-Fi, the machine allows constant updates and remote assistance, as well as the ability to print the final report directly from the workshop PC.

Service Solutions are becoming increasingly important for commercial vehicles and passenger cars in terms of safety, reliability, and cabin comfort. Therefore, this year MAHLE will also showcase new products for determining the health status of the high-voltage battery during the charging process and for the safe exchange of battery coolant, as well as its portfolio of air-conditioning service equipment and the MAHLE ShopPRO series of jacks and lifting devices.
