NorCal Autobody moves into new location and 8,000-square-foot facility

The shop was established in 2011 and is locally owned and operated by Kevin Brett and Mike Weekly

Fortuna, Calif.—NorCal Autobody has moved into a new 8,000-square-foot facility last month at 1325 Riverwalk Drive in Fortuna after three years of planning and work.

The shop had been originally located at 687 K St., in Fortuna, which was the former location of Bob Aldrich’s Body Shop.

A ribbon-cutting celebration was held on Sept. 16 with Fortuna Chamber of Commerce.

Norcal Autobody was established in 2011 and is locally owned and operated by Kevin Brett and Mike Weekly, who have more than 60 years of combined auto body experience. Upon Bob Aldrich’s retirement in 2011, Brett and Weekly launched their business.

The shop’s website states it is Fortuna’s only I-CAR Gold Class shop and is civic-minded by providing donations and sponsorships for many things including, but not limited to, 4H, FFA, Fortuna Rodeo, local sports teams including Fortuna and Ferndale High Schools sports teams, and local Redwood Acre’s Sportsman class racer #2 David Henderson.
