Alignment with RockED will provide automotive educators and their students expanded access to training designed to develop career-ready technicians
Gladstone, Mo.—The North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) has announced a new partnership with RockED, a mobile-first training platform, to provide automotive educators and their students with expanded access to high-quality, industry-aligned training designed to develop career-ready technicians.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, educators are facing increasing pressure to not only teach technical skills but also prepare students for real-world success in the shop. This partnership addresses that challenge by delivering engaging, accessible training that builds both technical knowledge and essential professional skills.
Through this collaboration, automotive programs can access RockED’s Tech School Preview Plan at no cost, providing unlimited access for both instructors and students to a mobile-first, microlearning platform. The platform includes 7 hours of content across around 200 lessons and offers industry-recognized certifications, all designed to enhance student engagement and better align classroom learning with real-world expectations.
Training content covers a wide range of relevant topics, including technician onboarding, shop culture, communication between technicians and service advisors, EV features and emerging technologies, and strategies for building a winning mindset and professional habits. Programs also include specialized training, such as video inspections, to help students build trust with customers, endorsed by TruVideo.
“This partnership is about giving automotive educators practical tools they can use immediately to better support their students,” said Heather Sebben, Business Manager at NACAT. “Educators are working hard to keep up with industry changes while also keeping students engaged. RockED provides a modern, flexible way to bring real-world learning into the classroom and help students succeed beyond graduation.”
In addition to the free preview access, NACAT members who choose to expand their program offerings can receive 50% off RockED’s full subscription in 2026. The full program includes more than 16 hours of content, over 400 microlearning lessons, advanced technical training, ASE test preparation, and multiple certification pathways aligned with industry needs.
“We created RockED to bridge the gap between education and the realities of today’s automotive workplace,” said Matthias Stoever, Co-Founder and CEO of RockED. “By partnering with NACAT, we’re able to support the educators shaping the next generation of technicians with training that is engaging, relevant, and immediately applicable.”
Educators can get started by downloading the RockED app on iOS or Android, creating an account, and selecting their tech school or program to begin accessing content.
Automotive educators are encouraged to sign up for free access and explore how RockED can enhance their programs, with the option to upgrade to the full subscription at a discounted rate through NACAT membership.
The partnership reinforces NACAT’s ongoing commitment to supporting automotive educators through innovative resources, professional development opportunities, and stronger connections with industry.
