The scholarship awards $2,500 to a student who has academic dedication and a strong interest in an automotive aftermarket industry career

Miramar, Fla.—WAI Global has reaffirmed its commitment to developing the next generation of automotive aftermarket professionals through its ongoing support of the Bill Ernst Memorial Scholarship, administered in partnership with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF).
This annual scholarship awards $2,500 to a student who has demonstrated both academic dedication and a strong interest in pursuing a career within the automotive aftermarket industry. Students enrolled full-time in accredited two-year technical programs, vocational schools or four-year colleges are eligible to apply, including those attending ASE- or NATEF-certified automotive programs. Graduate programs and part-time undergraduate programs do not qualify.
Applications must be completed and submitted by March 31. Scholarship recipients will be selected and announced between mid-May and the end of June.
The scholarship honors the legacy of Bill Ernst, a long-time WAI team member whose career spanned two decades. Throughout his tenure, Ernst exemplified professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to customers and colleagues alike.
His work ethic, determination, and passion for the industry left a lasting impact on WAI and the remanufacturing community as a whole. Applicants are invited to highlight how they embody these qualities through their academic and professional journeys.
Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. Applications must be submitted electronically through AutomotiveScholarships.com and will follow all UAF deadlines and evaluation guidelines.
WAI encourages its customers, partners and industry colleagues to share this opportunity broadly and help support students who represent the future of the automotive aftermarket.
