Call to action: Support Right to Repair legislation and Missouri safety inspections

Visit state capitol and engage directly with Missouri legislators to advocate for key issues impacting the automotive service industry, Jan. 21

Jefferson City, Mo.—The Midwest Auto Care Alliance is placing a call to action for all its members and the collective aftermarket community to engage directly with Missouri legislators and advocate for key issues impacting the automotive service industry.

The MWACA Legislative Committee is presenting “Day at the Missouri Capital,” Jan. 21, in Jefferson City. This event will focus on two topics: Right to Repair legislation (learn more) and Missouri safety inspections (see overview here). Participants will have the chance to share their perspectives, strengthen relationships with policymakers, and ensure that the voice of the independent automotive repair community is represented.

Proposed Schedule:

  • 9:30 a.m. – Meet in the Capitol Cafeteria
  • 9:45 a.m – Group picture
  • 10:00 a.m – Observe House Floor proceedings from the Upper Balcony (with the possibility of MWACA being announced as a guest)
  • 11:00 a.m – Visit participating representatives and senators
  • 12:00 a.m – Return to the cafeteria to wrap up and depart
