San Luis Obispo shop launches free oil-change program

Certified Auto Repair’s program helps people who go above and beyond for the community

San Luis Obispo, Calif.—Certified Auto Repair shop owner Isaac Feldman has launched a “Hometown Heroes Community Car Care” program to help people who go above and beyond to provide the community with services.

“Maintaining the vehicles of heroes ensuring our safety every day is more important than ever,” he said, adding that Certified Auto is dedicated to giving away one free oil change per day.

SLO County remains hard hit by not only the pandemic but is also affected by the wildfires around the state, Feldman said. People are encouraged to nominate heroes of all walks of life, first responders, health care workers or anyone else who selflessly serves the SLO community, to receive a free oil change.

The shop has instructed that nominations be emailed to the shop at HometownHeroes@carofslo.com with contact information.
