Urban Autocare acquires it fifth shop location in Colorado

Klava’s Service Center, which has operated since the mid-1970s, is undergoing extensive renovations before it reopens under the Urban Autocare flag

Arvada, Colo.—Urban Autocare has acquired Klava’s Service Center in Arvada, Colo. The acquisition marks Urban’s fifth shop location in the Denver-metro area of Colorado and their sixth shop overall, including Avalon Motorsports (German import specialists).

“We love growing locations by way of acquiring existing businesses because it gives owners who are ready to move into the next chapter of life an opportunity to do so, and it also gives our team an opportunity to make improvements and bring our unique way of serving clients to new communities,” said Brian Sump, owner and president.

“We have become very adept at how to work through issues to achieve a win-win scenario for the buyer and the seller and look forward to doing more deals in the years to come.”

Klava’s has operated in Arvada since the mid-1970s. The facility will close as it will undergo an extensive renovation over the next month, and is set to re-open in late August. Renovations will include cosmetic updates to the lobby, fresh paint, new signage, epoxy flooring in the shop with all new Rotary lifts and a Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment system. The facility will also have a 900-square-foot conference room upstairs for meetings and team training.

Urban Autocare has procured all five locations by way of acquisition and has plans to add several more Colorado locations over the next few years.
