Plaza Tire Service enters southeast region of Kentucky

The expansion represents the company’s seventh shop in the state, located across from the Murray State to serve students, staff and community

Murray, Ky.—Sun Auto Tire & Service announced on Wednesday the opening of a new Plaza Tire Service location in Murray, Ky., adding to the Plaza footprint the southwest region of the state.

Like other Plaza Tire Service stores, the new facility features over 6,500 square feet of space with eight service bays to perform tire installations and repairs, wheel balancing, alignments, brakes, shock and strut replacements, oil changes, battery replacements, and more.

Regional Vice President Rob Kingery said, “We’re thrilled to bring Plaza Tire Service to Murray, right across from the Murray State baseball stadium. We’ve served the Western Kentucky market since 1986 so people know us from our existing locations in nearby Benton and Mayfield, or our 77 additional Plaza Tire Service locations across the Midwest and Upper South.

“We look forward to taking great care of the students, faculty, and the entire Murray community for years to come.”

Founded in 1963 by Vernon “Pee Wee” Rhodes, Plaza Tire Service is based in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The company is part of the Sun Auto Tire & Service portfolio of companies.
