Jasper, Ind.—Jasper Engines & Transmissions has announced the expanded availability to its remanufactured GM Duramax 6.6L family of engines. Jasper now offers the L5P/L5D as a Complete Format engine for the following 2017-2023 applications.

• GMC Sierra 2500-3500HD
• International CV515
A Jasper remanufactured Complete Format diesel engine includes the block, heads, crank, cam, rods, valve train, oil pump, oil pan and pickup tube, oil filter, oil cooler, gear cover, and finishing gaskets.
“This engine is completely remanufactured with a standard set of new parts,” said Ryan Dooley, JASPER Diesel Director of Operations. “All other castings and components are remanufactured, and re-qualified, to meet or exceed OEM specifications.”
The remanufactured Duramax L5P/L5D Complete Format engine is spin-tested, ensuring proper compression, timing, sensor operation, and oil pressure. “A blacklight inspection with dye-infused oil and coolant is conducted to ensure the engine is free of leaks,” Dooley added.
