Dorman Products wins 2022 ATC Technology Innovation Award

The award recognizes and encourages innovations that support, enhance, and advance aftermarket business processes

Research Triangle Park, N.C.—Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association’s (AASA) Technology Council (ATC) has announced Dorman Products as the 2022 winner of the ATC Technology Innovation Award during the 2022 AASA Technology Conference. Michael Donofrio, director of digital experience for Dorman Products, accepted the award.

Donofrio explained the company’s website-based live, local inventory during the ATC Fall Meeting. Dorman’s “Where to Buy” platform saves website users time and effort as consumers usually need a part quickly, and in most cases, the same day. Dorman worked closely with Epicor Software to develop, integrate, and launch its local/live inventory application.

Three other award finalists presented their recently developed technology applications: Content Status, JNPSoft, and True Pedigree.

“We are excited about the number and quality of award applicants, and we were especially impressed with the finalists’ pitches and the technologies presented,” said Marylou Hornung, director of sales operations for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems. “Dorman’s use of Epicor technology to present live inventory that is available online is very impressive and very deserving of this year’s award.”

Past winners of the ATC Technology Innovation Award include:

• 2021 — VizSeek for its visual parts searches

• 2020 — OptiCat for its automated load sheets

Applications for next year’s award will be available in early 2023 on aftermarketsuppliers.org. Eligible companies must supply technology solutions that address one of the ATC’s areas of focus.
