UAF awards scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year

Scholarship recipients will be attending a two-year or four-year college or university or an accredited automotive vocational program

Bethesda, Md.—As the new school year begins, the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) has announced it has awarded 327 scholarships totaling $721,000. A complete list of the scholarship recipients can be found at AutomotiveScholarships.com/scholarship-alumni.

Scholarship recipients will be attending a two-year or four-year college or university or an accredited automotive vocational program. While the majority of the students will be studying to become mechanical, collision or heavy-duty repair professionals, others are pursuing degrees in such fields as business, engineering and IT/cybersecurity that will lead to a career in the aftermarket. In addition, many named scholarships were awarded on behalf of a variety of individuals and organizations.

To be considered, scholarship candidates applied at the foundation’s AutomotiveScholarships.com or HeavyDutyScholarships.com websites. Once the teams of volunteer scholarship reviewers evaluated the completed applications, scholarship recipients and their corresponding schools were notified of the awards.

“It’s exciting to see how many students want to build a career in the aftermarket and are able to earn scholarships because of their academic and work achievements,” said Mike Buzzard, AAP, UAF scholarship committee chairman. “We would not be able to award all these scholarships without the generosity of those who contribute their time and resources to UAF. Their ongoing support is essential to ensure a vibrant aftermarket industry well into the future.”
