Bosch launches remote diagnostics service

New service extends the capabilities of Bosch ADS X Platform tools by connecting technicians directly to Bosch diagnostic experts

Oakbrook Terrance, Ill.—Bosch Diagnostics has announced the launch of Bosch Remote Diagnostics Service (RDS), a new service that extends the capabilities of Bosch ADS X Platform tools by connecting technicians directly to Bosch diagnostic experts through an integrated remote support platform.

Rather than purchasing and maintaining multiple OEM scan tools and software subscriptions, Bosch Remote Diagnostics Service (RDS) brings OEM software and Bosch diagnostic expertise directly into a shop’s existing workflow.

Bosch experts can remotely perform complex diagnostic tasks and ADAS calibration procedures, helping shops extend their capabilities, keep more work in-house and maintain an efficient workflow.

RDS provides access to a range of remote services, including:

  • OEM Pre-Scan: Remote OEM scanning to help identify vehicle faults and document vehicle condition
  • OEM Post-Scan: Remote scanning to validate repairs and support repair documentation
  • OEM ADAS Calibration: Remote support for supported ADAS calibration procedures
  • OEM Diagnostics Assistance: Expert support for diagnostic procedures, coding, fault codes and repair-related questions

Technicians access RDS directly from the home screen on their ADS 625X or ADS 10X Plus scan tool, select a service and connect with a Bosch expert through integrated live chat. During standard business hours, technicians can connect with a live Bosch expert in five minutes or less and receive an estimated wait time when submitting a request.

Once connected, the expert can remotely perform diagnostics and calibrations using licensed OEM software. Upon completion, the shop technician receives confirmation and a PDF service report to support repair and insurance documentation.

The diagnostic tool must remain connected to the vehicle during the active session, but the Bosch Workshop Assist app allows technicians to continue the conversation from a mobile device.

For ADAS-related repairs, RDS supports remote calibration services using OEM or OEM-equivalent equipment. An active Bosch ADAS subscription is required when RDS is used with the Bosch DAS 3000 ADAS Calibration Solution. Pay-per-use calibrations are also available using OEM or aftermarket equipment meeting all OEM specifications.

The service offers flat, upfront pricing for common procedures, with customers charged only after a successful session. No service credits or separate RDS subscriptions are required.
