The Pronto Network joins 2026 Brakes for Breasts fundraiser

Participating distributors, manufacturer partners and The Pronto Network come together to support Breast Cancer vaccine research

Grapevine, Texas—During the month of October, The Pronto Network will join independent auto repair shops across the U.S. in supporting the 2026 Brakes for Breasts fundraiser, an industry-wide effort raising funds for breast cancer vaccine research.

As part of the fundraiser, participating Pronto Network Service Centers will provide customers with free brake pads or shoes. Customers pay for labor and any additional parts necessary to complete the brake job, and participating shops then donate 10% of the brake job directly to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund, specifically supporting The Dr. Tuohy Lab and its breast cancer vaccine research.

To further support the efforts of participating Service Centers, The Pronto Network will match the donations made by participating Service Centers, helping increase the collective contribution to breast cancer vaccine research.

The Pronto Network’s participation in the 2026 fundraiser is made possible with the support of sponsoring manufacturers Bendix, Bosch, DuraGo, NewTek, PowerStop, ProMax, and Wagner.

Their partnership helps support participating Service Centers and strengthens The Pronto Network’s efforts to bring greater awareness to the fundraiser throughout the automotive aftermarket.

“We’re excited to bring the Brakes for Breasts fundraiser to a select group of our Service Centers this year,” said Kerri Gulick, Director of Marketing & Communications for The Pronto Network.  “Independent repair shops have strong connections to the communities they serve, and this fundraiser gives our network an opportunity to come together to support research that could have a meaningful impact on the future of breast cancer vaccines.

“We’re grateful to our participating members, service centers, and manufacturer partners for helping us support this important cause.”

The 2026 fundraiser will serve as a test market for The Pronto Network, providing an opportunity to gather feedback and learn from participating Service Centers while evaluating opportunities to expand participation in future years.

The research supported by Brakes for Breasts is being conducted by The Dr. Tuohy Lab at Cleveland Clinic, whose researchers have developed a breast cancer vaccine that proved effective in laboratory animals. Phase 1 clinical trials were successfully completed in 2026, and the lab is actively working toward the launch of Phase 2 in 2027.

Brakes for Breasts brings independent automotive repair businesses together around a shared goal: helping fund vaccine research focused on preventing breast cancer. 100% of the proceeds from the Brakes for Breasts fundraiser go directly to Cleveland Clinic for breast cancer vaccine research.
