Conway, Ark.—The John Bean Tru-Point advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) calibration tool has been approved for service and repair by Lexus on its vehicles in the U.S.
“By pairing Tru-Point with a John Bean aligner, shops gain two revenue opportunities: ADAS calibration and wheel alignment. This combination allows shops to diversify their services and keep both machines operating throughout the day, maximizing productivity and profitability. We are honored that Lexus has approved Tru-Point for ADAS servicing, and we sincerely thank them for their confidence in this high-performing tool,” said Nicola Cattabriga, director of OEM for Snap-on Equipment.
The Tru-Point calibration system checks ADAS-related wheel alignment values and monitors every phase of the setup process, ensuring that OEM safety standards are met before calibration begins. Utilizing advanced camera technology, the system delivers precise positioning and automatically adjusts based on the vehicle’s location.
A detailed, user-friendly report is also generated to document that the technician has completed all required steps for a proper calibration.
The Tru-Point website features system coverage videos that clearly demonstrate calibration procedures. Updated content provides valuable insights to help shops achieve accurate calibrations, with topics including floor space and lighting requirements, service data, vehicle alignment, target placement and scan tool integration.
Additionally, an ADAS profit calculator helps shops estimate potential revenue from offering ADAS services.
