CTDA New Year Luncheon – Support SoCal fire victims and Right to Repair

CTDA encourages donations of financial or hard goods such as canned foods, blankets and towels, batteries, device chargers, first aid kits, etc.

Sacramento, Calif.—The 12th annual California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) / 1-800EveryRim New Year Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30, at Stevens Steak & Seafood House in Commerce, Calif.. In light of the current tragedies impacting the region, CTDA leadership stated in a news release it had considered whether moving ahead with the luncheon it’s the “responsible thing to do.”

Ultimately, CTDA said it was decided that the luncheon presents an opportunity to come together as a community, accept donations for fire victims, especially those in the tire business, and provide support to those impacted.

CTDA encourages donations (financial or hard goods such as canned foods, blankets and towels, batteries, device chargers, first aid kits, bottled waters, packaged drinks, etc.). There will also be a vendor tabletop show and the annual lively raffle.

The luncheon program will feature a panel of industry leaders, who will share insights on “Right to Repair.” Modern Tire Dealer publisher Greg Smith will moderate a panel featuring industry leaders Debra Hamlin (TIA President Bridgestone Americas), Dick Gust (TIA CEO) and newly elected CTDA President Steve Boyajian (Tire Pros).

The panel will answer such questions as “What does ‘Right to Repair’ mean to tire dealers and distributors,” “What has TIA done and what is TIA planning to do to move this initiative forward,” “How will the new administration in Washington, DC, affect the ‘Right to Repair’ efforts,” and several more key questions.

The 2025 luncheon is supported by Diamond sponsor Federated Insurance, luncheon founder 1-800EveryRim OEM Wheels, and sponsors Wholesale Tire Distributors, Yokohama, TireTutor, Crystal Clean, Tire Base, Myers Tire Supply, Mighty Auto Parts, NAPA Auto Parts, Optimize Digital Marketing, Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG), BankCard USA, and Conceptual Minds.

Attendance is free for CTDA members, and a handful of free spots are still available for non-member dealers, courtesy of sponsors. Email Marc Connerly at mconnerly@connerlyandassociates.com to register.
