Madison, Ill.—The I-CAR job fair scheduled for Oct. 2, at the World Wide Technology Raceway, has been canceled for 2020.
“This unprecedented pandemic has disrupted everyone’s normal daily lives and the same is true for the business and education communities,” said I-CAR Committee Partner Coordinator Doug Slattery, of Automotive Technology Inc. “At this point, schools are scrambling to figure out how to open in the fall, NHRA will have a shortened race season with potentially no fans and the automotive and collision repair industries are working hard to ride out the shutdown.”
As a result, he added, the I-CAR committee has cancelled the event for 2020 with plans to return in 2021. It will conduct outreach in the first quarter with 2021 job fair information.
