Nebraska shop owner dies following auto accident

Kearney, Neb.—Anthony Lee “Tony” Turner, 34, of Kearney passed away Friday, Nov. 8, from injuries received in an auto accident. Turner grew up in the family business, Turner Body Shop, learning from his grandfather and developing his passion and knowledge of the collision repair industry.

He began working as a tech at age 15 and progressed over the years to co-ownership in 2016, expanding the family business to a second location in Holdrege. Turner would sign up for any class that would further his knowledge and innovate his company. He earned multiple certifications and awards in the auto body industry and was an active member of the Nebraska Autobody Association. Working at Turners gave him the opportunity to build lifelong friendships.

Tony and his wife were also involved in the community. Concrete Cares was their greatest passion along with fostering numerous animal rescues and sponsoring several area organizations including local youth.
