Midwest shop owner joins Elite as business development coach

Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.—Elite has announced that multi-store shop owner Nick Sallas has joined the company as its newest business development coach. Sallas owns two shops, located in Overland Park, Kan., and Kansas City, Mo.

In his new role, Sallas will use his 38 years of industry experience and 26 years as a successful shop owner to provide one-on-one guidance to other shop owners throughout the U.S.

The first Sallas Auto opened in 1993 as a two-bay shop, and has been growing steadily ever since: he now has 18 employees between two stores, and the average employee has been with him for 10 years. Sallas owns the property of both of the AAA-approved Sallas locations,has served on the NAPA National Auto Care Council, been named Regional NAPA Tech of the Year, was the Automotive Service Association president for two years, in addition to writing a book on car care maintenance.

Sallas and his shops are also active in the community through fundraisers and events. They recently organized a car show and raised $2,200 for the Snack Back program for children. The same car show supported the Any Soldiers program the year prior and sent supplies to active troops. Sallas and his shop have also held Car Care Clinics for 20 years in a row and continue to go out in the community and perform Lunch & Learns to educate businesses and schools.
