Sustainability leaders in vehicle supplier industry to meet in August

MEMA’s Center for Sustainability and Advocacy Team to co-host an event focused on small- and middle-market suppliers

Washington, D.C.—Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) will take center stage at the MEMA Center for Sustainability’s event on Aug. 15.

A full-day conference co-hosted by MEMA Government Affairs, Sustainability: Competing in Today’s Environment will bring together executive leaders, customers, sustainability professionals, and government experts to discuss the burning platforms in sustainability and ESG.

Topics will include forced labor prevention, funding opportunities available through the federal government, customer requirements and reporting, and executive and customer perspectives.

“It’s simple: suppliers need to be prepared and understand the ongoing impact of sustainability and ESG so they may comply and build advantage for their companies,” said John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. “This event — geared towards small- and middle-market suppliers — will provide an essential opportunity to learn, network, and plan for what’s ahead, and I invite the supplier community to join us for the discussion.”

Executives and professionals from all MEMA member companies — automotive and commercial vehicle, original equipment and aftermarket — who manage aspects of sustainability and ESG within their organizations are invited to attend. The event will be held on Aug. 15, at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, Mich.

MEMA members and non-members are invited to attend. Discounted pricing is available for multiple attendees from the same MEMA member company.
