Landon Auto Parts has five locations in lower Northern Michigan; founder’s three sons and grandsons will remain on board
Grand Rapids, Mich.—Auto-Wares Group of Companies has announced it has joined with family-owned Landon Auto Parts, which has five locations in lower Northern Michigan (Boyne City, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Indian River and Onaway). It will join 42 locations currently operated by Auto-Wares in the Northern and Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Landon Auto Parts employs 27 full-time and seven part-time employees, and was founded in 1987 by Don Landon. Today, it is operated by Landon’s three sons, Scott, Matt, and Mike Landon, and supported by Landon’s grandsons, Austin and Alex Landon. The Landon family stated that joining Auto-Wares was the right choice to continue the Landon legacy.
The stores will be rebranded to the Auto Value name and national brand products will be available over the next weeks to replace some of the current private-brand products. The Landon family members and their team will remain on board.
Landon Auto Parts and Auto-Wares officially joined operations on Oct. 31. While the Landon family operates a hardware and lumber business alongside Landon Auto Parts, the partnership will only involve the Landon Auto Parts business.
