OTC debuts new differential adapter set for powertrain lift table

The adaptor mounts easily to provide safe and proper handling of differential axle assemblies during servicing

Warren, Mich.—OTC has introduced its new 5295-DA powertrain lift differential adapter set, designed to facilitate the removal and installation of some of the most common differentials currently in use. Compatible with OTC’s 5295 powertrain lift table, the adapter mounts to provide safe and proper handling of differential axle assemblies during servicing, according to a news release.

The adapter set consists of two axle tube stands that support each side of the axle housing, while the pinion adapter stabilizes the differential from rotating to provide safer component access and service for technicians. The pinion adapter features a reversible head that supports a wide range of pinion and housing shapes and sizes, the company stated.

Those adapters are height-adjustable and feature hook points, designed to attach the hold-down strap to keep the axle assembly firmly positioned throughout service for maximum safety.

With a rated capacity of 800 pounds, the design of the 5295-DA provides a combination of strength and stability suitable for challenging applications, according to the news release. The design uses an extended base frame that can reach nearly 10 inches.

The full set also includes two axle house standing assemblies, a pinion stand assembly, 12 hex head cap screws (M10 x 1.5), and a hold down safety strap.
