The national sales manager for Epicor Software Corporation brings over two decades of experience with AACF and a deep commitment to supporting the automotive aftermarket
Sacramento, Calif.—The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) has appointed Jon Owens as the new president of its board of trustees. Owens, a national sales manager at Epicor Software Corporation, brings over two decades of experience with AACF and a deep commitment to supporting the automotive aftermarket. His dedication to assisting industry families within the aftermarket industry has earned him respect, positioning him to guide AACF to even greater success.
Owens expressed his excitement about taking on this new role, saying, “I’m very much looking forward to working with our fantastic board and executive committee, and our Executive Director Joel Ayres in leading us to extend our reach across the entirety of the aftermarket and help aftermarket families affected by unforeseen tragedy. We know they’re out there, we just need them to know that we’re here to help.”
Owens continued, “I am humbled to take on the role of president of this fantastic foundation, the longest running charitable organization in the aftermarket, and follow in the footsteps of the many great leaders before me. Not the least of which is our current president and the man I will be succeeding, Larry Magee. He has done an amazing job in building our team and moving us forward, and I hope I am blessed enough to continue our good work as I follow in his giant footsteps.”
Other officers of the foundation have also been appointed, naming Luanne Brown as vice president, Ross Kogel as secretary, and George Afremow as treasurer.
AACF’s outgoing president, Larry Magee, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and offered his full support to Owens during the transition, stating, “As I approach the conclusion of my term, the foundation has been fortunate to identify several exceptional candidates capable of assuming the role of President.
“While we have made significant strides over the past three years, there remains a substantial amount of work ahead. Our commitment to fulfilling the foundation’s mission, aiding those within the automotive aftermarket facing catastrophic hardships and have no place else to turn. I am extremely pleased that Jon Owens was selected as president as he certainly has the leadership skills, industry knowledge as well as contacts, passion and desire to successfully lead the foundation into the future.”
