Survey results point to strong showing at AAPEX 2021

Survey results show that 75 percent of attendees are either already vaccinated or plan to be vaccinated, boosting comfort and confidence in a return to in-person events

Las Vegas—Results of a recent global survey of AAPEX attendees show optimism and a high positive sentiment for the return to in-person events with 86 percent indicating they are “highly” to “extremely likely” to return for a live experience this year.

The survey was conducted in April by Freeman, a global leader in events, as part of its event research report. AAPEX is scheduled to return to the Sands Expo and Caesars Forum Conference Center in Las Vegas, Tuesday, Nov. 2 through Thursday, Nov. 4, when the automotive aftermarket will reunite and reconnect in person after a missed year.

Survey results show that 75 percent of attendees are either already vaccinated or plan to be vaccinated, boosting comfort and confidence in a return to in-person events. After they receive the vaccine, 88 percent will be ready to return to in-person events. In addition, 90 percent indicate in-person events are “irreplaceable” noting the show floor and networking are most important.

Attendees are excited to test and compare the latest offerings in person, with 55 percent indicating they prefer the ability to evaluate products at the event. Of those surveyed, 89 percent are the key decision maker or have significant influence on getting attendance approved for events.

The results reflect similar anecdotal feedback from AAPEX attendees and exhibitors who say they are ready and excited to be back in person at AAPEX 2021. Show organizers are excited by the positive and encouraging results and look forward to welcoming the automotive aftermarket to Las Vegas in November. To help ensure as safe and productive an event as possible, AAPEX Event Management and AAPEX co-owners – the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) – will take all appropriate and advisable precautions and measures as advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidelines for COVID-19.
