MOTOR recognized as a ‘Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation’

MOTOR’s nomination focused on its value of women — who represent 64% of recent hires — in the industry, recognizing and responding to their needs by supporting families

Troy, Mich.—MOTOR Information Systems, a Hearst company, has been recognized as a recipient of the 2022 “Top Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation” by Redefining the Road magazine, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association (WIT).

WIT’s mission is to promote the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the trucking industry. The “Top Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation” award recognizes companies whose structures are designed to support women in the workforce based on criteria including a corporate culture that fosters gender diversity, flexibility in hours and work requirements, quality benefits (i.e., paid maternity leave), career advancement and professional development opportunities and more. Companies were selected for this recognition program based on votes from the industry.

MOTOR’s nomination focused on its value of women — who represent 64% of recent hires — in the industry, recognizing and responding to their needs by supporting families, offering extended maternity leave and providing a flexible work schedule for a healthy work-life balance.

“In my time at MOTOR, I’ve experienced outstanding support and many opportunities for growth and learning,” said Susan Stackpole, Manager of Customer Service at MOTOR. “Shortly after I started, I co-founded an employee resource group that focuses on empowering and uniting women. The support we receive from senior leadership is exceptional.”

Andrea Forgue

“As a working mom, I am both grateful and proud to work for MOTOR. I have received financial support during maternity leave, extended time off when my baby was sick and a flexible schedule that supports both work and my family,” said Andrea Forgue, Digital Content Manager at MOTOR.

MOTOR will be recognized at the upcoming WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, Nov. 13-16, in Dallas.
