In Loving Memory of Maylan Newton
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Maylan Newton, who left us peacefully on Sunday, January 26th. Maylan’s death leaves a void that is felt by all who knew him, both personally and professionally. His warmth, positivity, and boundless enthusiasm touched countless lives.
Maylan’s legacy is a testament to the extraordinary impact he had on the automotive community at large. As a mentor, colleague, and friend, he was a guiding light, always ready to lift others up with his trademark “Tigger” energy and optimism. He was many things to many people, but to most, he was considered family.
He worked tirelessly to preserve the integrity of the industry he loved while continually fostering and advocating for an inclusive community, specifically for women in automotive. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Maylan’s love for his family was a defining part of who he was. He was immensely proud of his two children and loved sharing stories about them with anyone who would listen.
His dedication to being present in their lives left a lasting impact. As a grandfather, Maylan found immense joy in his two grandsons, cherishing every moment spent with them. While he will be deeply missed, his family is incredibly grateful for the many memories they shared and the love he leaves behind.
As we navigate life without Maylan, his memory will forever remain in our hearts and minds. We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outreach and support during this time, and we will continue to share updates as we honor Maylan’s remarkable life and the many lives he touched.
With love and gratitude,
The Newton Family
