Advance Auto opens new Maryland store as it expands across Mid-Atlantic

This is the company’s sixth store in Silver Spring and one of 40 to 45 it expects to open in the U.S. in 2026, aims to open over 100 next two years

Silver Spring, Md.—Advance Auto Parts has announced the opening of a new store in Silver Spring, Md., and a donation of $1,000 to Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus.

The donation will help cover the students’ parts and tool needs while they gain hands-on experience, training and career opportunities as future automotive technicians. The store’s grand opening, featuring a ribbon-cutting and donation presentation, took take place Friday, May 1.

 “This opening reflects our commitment to growing in Silver Spring and across the region,” said Eli Rosa, Regional Vice President for Advance Auto Parts. “Workforce readiness is a key part of that commitment, from investing in local automotive programs to building a team that’s prepared to deliver the expertise, service and reliability customers expect to help keep them on the road and moving safely.”

Steve Crowe, an automotive professor at Montgomery College, said, “We are grateful to Advance Auto Parts for the gift and for their support of our program and students. Contributions like this help us provide the tools, both literally and figuratively, that students need as they prepare for careers in the automotive industry. Advance’s investment makes a difference in the classroom and in the future workforce.”

This is the company’s sixth store in Silver Spring and one of 40 to 45 new stores in the U.S. the company expects to open in 2026, toward a goal of opening more than 100 new distribution points over the next two years.
