Retiring CEO Sue Godschalk

Staunton, Va.—The Federated Auto Parts executive committee announced that, effective January 1, 2027, Jason Scott will assume the role of chief executive officer of Federated Auto Parts, one of the largest auto parts distribution and marketing organizations in North America and a founding member of the Automotive Parts Services Group (APSG).

Currently serving as APSG executive vice president and chief strategy officer, Scott will replace retiring CEO Sue Godschalk who will stay on as executive advisor.

Scott joined APSG in July 2021 after 15 years with Genuine Parts Company (GPC) where he advanced from senior market manager to senior director of product management for Altrom to senior director of product management, application parts for NAPA Auto Parts.

Prior to GPC, Scott held management positions at the Four Seasons division of Standard Motor Products and Auto Electric Sales & Service where he began his 40-year career.

“It has been a great honor to serve as CEO and work with so many wonderful colleagues and friends during my 41 years at Federated. Thinking about the future, I believe Jason is the right leader to guide Federated forward on a path of strategic growth,” said Godschalk. “Jason comes to the CEO role with extensive parts knowledge, industry experience and a deep understanding of both Federated and APSG.

“I have no doubt that he will have a successful tenure, delivering enhanced value for members, strengthening partnerships with suppliers, and collaborating with our APSG partners at The Alliance and The Pronto Network.”

Roy Kent, president, Federated Auto Parts, said, “While this is a time of transition, it is also a time to reflect on how fortunate we are to have been led by Sue Godschalk and have Jason Scott take the reins as she moves to an advisory role.

“The Federated team is strong, and with Jason’s extensive experience, Sue’s institutional knowledge and so many exceptional members, I know the future of Federated is very bright.”
