Diagnostics platform consolidates all ZF diagnostic applications into a single platform, helping fleets and service providers manage growing vehicle complexity
Grapevine, Texas—ZF Aftermarket has announced the North American launch of ZF Scan, a new diagnostic solution designed specifically for commercial vehicles. Part of the ZF [pro]Diagnostics portfolio, ZF Scan delivers a streamlined, system-level diagnostic experience for today’s increasingly complex trucks and trailers.
The company is demonstrating the new product at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2026, January 19-22, in Grapevine, Texas.
ZF Scan brings multiple legacy diagnostic applications including WABCO TOOLBOX PLUS and ZF Testman into a single, user-friendly platform, with any new and future diagnostic modules included.
ZF Scan gives technicians one tool to perform comprehensive vehicle health scans, read and clear fault codes, adjust parameters and support ECU flashing where applicable. The solution supports a broad range of ZF systems including braking, transmission, chassis and advanced driver assistance technologies.
“As commercial vehicles continue to evolve, diagnostics must keep pace with the growing integration of systems and software,” said Anuj Gupta, Head of Digital North America, ZF Aftermarket. “With the launch of ZF Scan, we’re giving fleets, workshops and distributors a modern, integrated diagnostics solution built for the realities of today’s landscape. Combined with the broader ZF Aftermarket ecosystem, ZF Scan allows technicians to diagnose and service the ZF portfolio of products—the largest, most comprehensive portfolio in the CV industry—with greater speed, precision and confidence.”
Designed to simplify daily workflows, ZF Scan features a user-friendly interface that reduces training time and helps technicians move quickly from diagnosis to repair. Built-in compliance with the latest OE security standards and Software Update Management Systems (SUMS) ensure cyber safety as well as access to the latest system coverage and functionalities, supporting higher first-time fix rates and improved vehicle uptime.
“ZF Scan is part of ZF Aftermarket’s broader strategy to support the full commercial vehicle service ecosystem with OE-engineered parts, digital tools and technical expertise,” said Chris Battershell, Head of Aftermarket North America. “By combining advanced diagnostics with ZF’s deep system knowledge, the company continues to help fleets and service providers adapt to the rapid pace of change across the heavy-duty industry.”
