Hovis Auto and Truck Supply opens new location in Clarion

Supported by a 100,000-square-foot distribution center, Hovis Auto and Truck Supply now operates 19 locations across Western Pennsylvania

Clarion, Pa.—Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, a third-generation family business since 1952, has opened a new location in Clarion, Pa.. The company had purchased a building that had served as an auto supply business for its new operation.

Supported by a 100,000-square-foot distribution center, Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, a member of Federated Auto Parts and Viper Heavy Duty, now operates 19 locations across Western Pennsylvania. It serves auto repair shops and retail customers and, in addition to parts and products, also makes hydraulic hoses and offers custom paint matching.

“We’re committed to servicing the area as best as we can,” Cliff Hovis Jr. told exploreClarion in a news report. “Customer service is a top priority for us, and we offer quick deliveries of parts when and where our customers need them. We understand that how fast a shop can get a vehicle fixed and off the lift directly affects their profitability.”

Cliff Hovis began the business as a single service station in 1952, which has grown beyond auto parts to include heavy duty truck parts, paint and body supplies, and tools and equipment. Cliff Hovis, Jr. and Curt Hovis currently lead the company serving as president and vice president.

The company also operates the Hovis Technical Training Center in Mercer, Pa. The center provides customers with hands-on training, nationally accredited courses and certified trainers in a central location.
