Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers acquires Cleveland-based tire dealer

Founded as a family-owned and operated business in 1969, Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care has 39 locations across northeast Ohio

High Ridge, Mo.—Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers, based in High Ridge, Mo., and among the top 25 independent tire dealers in the U.S., announced last week its acquisition of Cleveland-based Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care.

Founded as a family-owned and operated business in 1969, Conrad’s has 39 locations across northeast Ohio and provides comprehensive automotive maintenance and repair services.

The transaction solidifies the combined business as a tire and automotive service provider across the Midwest and South-Central U.S., with 97 retail locations across Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, and Texas. The combination strengthens both organizations, enhancing operational capabilities and expanding customer reach.

Conrad’s management team will continue to provide leadership. Capstone Partners served as financial advisor to Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care.

In 2024, the Dobbs — founded by Donald Dobbs in 1976 with a single store in High Ridge, Mo. — opened two new stores at the Lake of the Ozarks and in O’Fallon, Mo., and acquired Longview, Texas-based Automotive Super Center and Columbia, Mo.-based Custom Complete Automotive.
