“Motorcar Parts of America is proud to support CAWA’s mission of promoting excellence in the automotive parts industry. Sponsoring the annual dinner gala allows us to contribute to developing future leaders and educators, ensuring that high standards and quality education remain at the forefront of our industry,” said Selwyn Joffe, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Motorcar Parts of America.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAWA Memorial Scholarship Fund which promotes quality and high standards through education within the auto care industry. These cholarships are awarded to: (1) students in a curriculum related to the industry leading to a degree or certificate at an accredited college, university, or technical institute; and (2) automotive high school teachers to assure their programs remain viable and contemporary.
“As we look forward to our last official meeting of the year, I’d like to thank all of our members and sponsors for their dedication and understanding for the need of CAWA, and the efforts it takes to address ongoing automotive aftermarket political tides and expansion of our industry through valued scholarships to young, eager and deserving students and automotive high school teachers,” said Tom Ogaz of the Parts Authority and Chair of the CAWA Board of Directors.
