CAWA appoints Charles Sargent of DRiV to Manufacturers’ Advisory Council

Sargent has been in the aftermarket for the past 12 years, beginning as sales manager for a three-store NAPA jobber in western Colorado

Sacramento, Calif.—Charles Sargent of DRiV has been appointed to CAWA’s Manufacturers’ Advisory Council (MAC).

During the appointment process, Tom Ogaz, of the Parts Authority and CAWA Chair of the Board of Directors, said, “I am looking forward to the service of Mr. Sargent and his perspectives regarding our industry. We appreciate his willingness to make a commitment to the industry and its trade association out West. CAWA looks forward to his participation and contributions in assisting the association in achieving its goals as an effective and valuable automotive care industry organization.

Sargent has been in the automotive aftermarket for the past 12 years, beginning with a position of sales manager for a three-store NAPA jobber in western Colorado. In 2017, he made the jump to the supplier side, taking a field support/account management role with Delphi Technologies, managing the traditional business.

In 2019, he then joined Valvoline as a Traditional Strategic Account Manager with responsibility for West Coast WDs along with the Parts Authority and NPW nationally. Most recently, he accepted a position as Director of Program Groups and Key Accounts with DRiV, managing the group business (APSG, Alliance and APA) and keeping him in the WD world.

“Though it took me a while, I hope to never leave the WD world, my home,” Sargent said. “It’s truly a family, with relationships shared among suppliers and customers alike. I look forward to representing DRiV and contributing to the growth and success of the MAC and CAWA.”
