Victor Reinz Reinzosil packaging now designed to thwart counterfeiting

New blister packaging features a secure sticker from Authentic Vision, providing more effective protection from product piracy and forgery

Maumee, Ohio—Dana Incorporated’s sealant product, Victor Reinz Reinzosil room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone gasket maker, has a new look to its packaging. The new blister packaging features a secure sticker from Authentic Vision, providing more effective protection from product piracy and forgery.

The new blister packaging also showcases the Dana Squeezer Key tool and the graduated nozzle tip.

The Dana secure label makes it quick and easy to verify product authenticity. The label is made up of a serialized QR code with an integrated hologram containing a unique digital fingerprint. Scanning the QR code with the Dana secure app for smartphones immediately shows whether the product is an original product from Victor Reinz or a counterfeit. Authentication is reliable since there is no way to copy the QR code as well as the fingerprint.

The new blister packaging also showcases the Dana Squeezer Key tool and the graduated nozzle tip, which make Reinzosil sealant easy to use no matter the surface. Available in 70 milliliter tubes, Reinzosil sealant is also offered in 20 milliliter cans and 310 milliliter cartridge tubes for larger jobs.

Reinzosil RTV silicone gasket maker is resistant to fluids, including mineral and synthetic oils, lubricants, gasoline, diesel fuel, greases, water, and detergents, and is sensor safe. It provides superior resistance under load, even at high temperatures, and is ideal for use on two-dimensional flat surfaces where there is a sealing gap. It is also very suitable for rough sealing surfaces and can be used universally for all motor and vehicle makes. Unlike other RTV products, which may incorporate plasticizers of lesser quality such as calcium carbonate or limestone, Reinzosil sealant will not shrink or lose weight in high heat environments.
