Wheeler joins Standard Motor Products with close to 20 years of experience, specializing in the global automotive OE and automotive aftermarket industries
New York—Standard Motor Products, Inc. has announced Brian Wheeler has joined the company as its senior product and content marketing manager. Wheeler joins SMP with close to 20 years of experience, specializing in the global automotive OE and automotive aftermarket industries.
“We’re excited to have Brian join the Standard Motor Products marketing team,” said John Herc, vice president of marketing for Standard Motor Products’ Engine Management division. “Working with our strong Marketing Services team, and utilizing Brian’s experience in the global market, we will continue driving our marketing and communications initiatives while also supporting our sales and product management teams and ultimately our customers.”
Prior to joining SMP in 2021, Wheeler managed global OE and aftermarket marketing for Dayco; managed a Detroit-based marketing agency’s automotive business; led marketing, product management, and EMEA sales for Cloyes; and most recently directed automotive marketing initiatives for global professional services firm Deloitte. He has successfully led and implemented strategic marketing campaigns in more than 25 countries that supported the global automotive industry.
