Sun Auto Tire & Service expands to Tennessee

Barrett’s Tire, established in 1951, becomes Sun Auto’s first location in Tennessee and the 25th state in which the company operates

Dover, Tenn.—Sun Auto Tire & Service has announced two recent acquisitions, Barrett’s Tire of Dover, Tenn., and Miller’s OK Tire in Columbus, Miss.

July 28 marked Sun Auto’s first day of ownership of Barrett’s Tire, which has been serving Stewart County since 1951. Although the acquisition of Barrett’s Tire is Sun Auto’s first entry into Tennessee, the facility is located near existing Sun Auto Tire & Service Network locations operating as Plaza Tire Service in southwest Kentucky.

The addition of Barrett’s adds to a store count increased earlier in July, when Sun Auto acquired Miller’s OK Tire Store in Columbus, Miss., founded in 1961.
