New manual gives techs a roadmap to ADAS service

The manual gives techs and students knowledge and skills to understand, identify, document and calibrate ADAS technologies

Fresno, Calif.—Automotive Electronics Services (AESwave) has introduced “Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS),” by Steve Zack, Kurt Shadbolt and Scott Brown. This is the first standalone, ADAS-specific textbook designed for transportation education.

The manual gives automotive technicians and students the knowledge and skills they need to understand, identify, document and calibrate ADAS technologies. The text, with ASE-type questions at the end of each chapter and job sheets aligned to ASE’s new L4 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Specialist Test, prepares the reader for the certification test and provides relevant, hands-on ADAS experience.

• Case Studies throughout the text offer real-world situations that a technician may encounter.

• Pro Tips included in every chapter direct the reader to helpful resources for further learning, as well as how to apply the chapter content while working in the shop.

• Deep Dives expand on interesting aspects of the text, often sharing details on specific events, vehicles or situations.
