ZF strengthens its aftermarket ecosystem connecting OE parts, digital tools, service and training to help distributors, fleets and shops
Northville, Mich.—At AAPEX and SEMA 2025, ZF Aftermarket is launching ZF MultiScan, a new product under its ZF [pro]Diagnostics umbrella, and ZF [pro]Tech plus, a program for technical training and direct technical support.
The launches mark another milestone in ZF’s evolution as a full ecosystem partner for the North American aftermarket. Through its strategic combination of OE parts, a robust distribution network, digital tools, technical training and service support, ZF Aftermarket is strengthening its partnerships with distributors, fleets and workshops to help maximize mobility uptime across every stage of the vehicle lifecycle.
“ZF [pro]Diagnostics solutions demonstrate ZF’s leadership role in helping customers transition confidently into the next generation of mobility, where digitalization, electrification, and sustainability are contributing to shifts in the aftermarket industry,” said Philippe Colpron, Head of ZF Aftermarket and Executive Vice President, ZF Group.
“We’re proud to partner with our customers to make sure they not only have the right parts, but also the digital tools and support needed to ensure vehicles operate safely and reliably, regardless of their powertrain.”
New Solutions for Fleets, Shops and Technicians
ZF Aftermarket introduces two new offerings designed to empower shops and fleets with advanced diagnostic capabilities and hands-on technical support:
ZF MultiScan
A next-generation diagnostic solution that helps technicians diagnose multiple vehicle brands using a single tool, streamlining shop operations and helping to reduce equipment costs.
ZF MultiScan delivers:
• Support on Demand capability: Technicians can access live, remote assistance from qualified diagnostics experts on a pay-as-you-go basis. Experts connect remotely to the vehicle using the ZF MultiScan VCI and perform diagnostics or programming using OEM software, allowing more jobs to stay in-house.
• Comprehensive coverage for nearly all makes, all models: A custom diagnostic solution specifically designed and built for North American shops and vehicle population, MultiScan supports all major diagnostic protocols including Diagnostics over Internet Protocol (DoIP) and CAN FD.
• Unmatched dealer level capability: This exclusive technology functions as both a J2534 pass-through and OEM Vehicle Connection Interface (VCI) for servicing leading European makes.
ZF MultiScan’s rugged tablet and VCI are built for the shop environment with features including multi-position locking kickstand, long battery life, WiFi connectivity, built-in QR code scanner and camera magnifier.
ZF MultiScan is designed to allow the modern advanced shop to step into the future of diagnostics. Visit ZF at AAPEX and SEMA for hands-on demonstrations, and go to aftermarket.zf.com/us/multiscan for additional information.

ZF [pro]Tech plus
A comprehensive training and technical support program, it gives customers access to OEM-level service information, remote diagnostic assistance, and exclusive learning content on advanced technologies such as ADAS and electrified powertrains.
- Specialized Training for Passenger Car and Light Commercial Vehicle Repair: Members receive ASE-accredited technical training on ZF products and systems including ADAS, hybrid and electric drivetrains.
- Direct Technical Support: Access to ZF’s technical experts for diagnostics and repair guidance on complex systems.
- Premium Member Status: Recognition for shops that meet ZF’s high standards for capability, training and facilities, signifying a trusted partner in the aftermarket network.
