Agoura Hills, Calif.—All the safety and productivity features of BendPak’s AP Series two-post lifts are now available in taller, higher-capacity models built to handle internal combustion and electric cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and other vehicles. Introducing the BendPak 12APX Series.

The versatile new BendPak 12APX and 12APX-192 high-rise lifts raise vehicles weighing up to 12,000 pounds as high as 82.5 inches, providing plenty of room to work comfortably underneath. An available height extension kit results in even more clearance for high-roof vans and other tall vehicles.

“BendPak didn’t invent the two-post lift, but we keep making it better,” says Sean Price, director of sales operations. “The 12APX Series is stronger and more efficient than its predecessors, delivering improved productivity, durability, and peace of mind when working on modern vehicles.”

Like all AP Series lifts, the 12APX Series uses BendPak’s unique low-profile, triple-telescoping, nested swing arm design. These arms not only extend longer and retract shorter than traditional arms, but they also have greater under-vehicle clearance.

As a result, they can reach the OEM-recommended lift points on a wider range of vehicles, from small cars to light trucks and other commercial vehicles. This not only saves technicians time and hassle when positioning vehicles on 12APX Series lifts, it also enhances safety since improper spotting is a leading cause of lift accidents.

The 12APX Series also features BendPak’s patent-pending Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System (ASARS). Swing arm restraints have been a staple on two-post lifts for decades. They’re designed to minimize the risk of lift arms shifting during vehicle loading and service.

But traditional half-moon-style swing arm restraints often struggle to withstand the sudden forces exerted when a vehicle shifts on the lift adapters, usually because the vehicle wasn’t loaded correctly or a heavy drivetrain component was removed, leading to an unexpected change in the vehicle’s center of balance. If the restraints fail, the vehicle can fall.

BendPak’s ASARS uses a full 360 degrees of forged steel teeth to automatically secure the lift arms in place. It can withstand an industry-leading 2,000 pounds of side force. When work is done, a quick-release lever lets the operator instantly release the clamping pressure to move the arms out of the way.

Another key feature of the 12APX Series is BendPak’s innovative safety lock system. It ensures the locks/load-holding devices engage automatically while the lift is going up; and its ergonomic single-point release allows operators to effortlessly release the locks during lift descent—literally with the push of a single finger.

The 12APX Series offers the convenience of wide or narrow installation to fit most bays. Productivity is enhanced by BendPak’s BI-METRIC swing arms that enable both symmetric and asymmetric lifting from a single 12APX Series lift without wasting time changing arms. And each lift comes standard with a 12-piece set of lifting adapters designed to accommodate virtually every chassis configuration. Two column-mounted racks keep adapters conveniently organized. BendPak also offers a range of optional adapters and accessories to further enhance the lift’s versatility.
