Jeff Koviak to take reins as The Group’s CEO

Automotive Parts Services Group announces that CEO Larry Pavey will retire Jan. 1; Koviak set to take helm to steer membership

Grapevine, Texas and Staunton, Va.—The Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) has announced that Jeff Koviak will assume the role of CEO effective January 1, 2025, replacing retiring CEO Larry Pavey.

The Group is a joint partnership between the Federated Alliance and The Pronto Network and is made up of 300 member companies with over 5,000 locations and 80,000 employees primarily in North America.

In his new role, Koviak will be dedicated to driving strategic initiatives for The Group membership that will maximize future revenue growth while simultaneously streamlining internal systems and resources to reduce redundancy throughout the organizations.

“We feel Jeff is the ideal candidate to move The Group toward the original goal of strategically unifying the traditional aftermarket partners while still respecting the unique strengths that each of the individual groups offer in their marketplace,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated Auto Parts.

“Jeff comes to us with an exceptional background,” added Robert Roos, president and CEO of The Pronto Network. “During his 30-year career at Tenneco/DRiV, he built strong, long- term, trusting relationships with all of our members, and we are excited to have him join forces with our teams.”

In an email to Aftermarket Matters, Pavey stated, “I am planning to retire and have agreed to support transitions and whatever is needed for the future. I will definitely be looking to help in any way but will be looking to slow down and spend more time with my family and doing some charity work. Part of that will be supporting UAF (University of the Aftermarket Foundation) as long as they will have me and anything else I can do to support the aftermarket. As I have said many times, I will never be able to repay the industry for all the blessings I have received and the great people that I have been able to meet and spend time with.”
