Free webinar to tackle trends disrupting U.S. tire marketplace, Nov. 16

Bowie Md.—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and market research firm GfK, an NIQ Company, will offer a free webinar on Nov. 16 that focuses on three emerging market trends that have implications on market demand and retail tire pricing.

Titled “Three Key Trends Disrupting the U.S. Tires Marketplace,” the webinar will take place on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. ET. To register, go to https://hubs.la/Q02614Zf0.

Attendees will learn how tire makers and sellers can be ready to successfully meet consumer expectations when searching for new technologies in the U.S. tire market.

The webinar will cover:

  • All-Weather and Winter Tire Overlap: Is the winter tire segment slowly converting to the fast-growing all-weather segment — a 3-PMS certified, “Premium Plus” new category in the market?
  • Electric Vehicle Disruption — Understanding the EV consumer migration away from the car dealer and into the independent tire retailer? How soon will this EV consumer enter your shop to buy tires?
  • Pricing, Mix and Rim Diameter Trends: The implications of rim diameter growth and brand mix management in maximizing your average retail selling price.

In addition, GfK will offer an overview of 2023 tire market performance.

GfK participants will include Miguel Quiros, vice president, tires retail; Matthew Wright, account director, tires; and Neil Portnoy, executive vice president market insights. Dave Zielasko, TIA communications consultant, will moderate the session.
