Suppliers to discuss sustainability experiences in summit panel, Aug. 15

Attendees can glean benchmarking information from the panel discussion as well as an understanding of how their own sustainability journeys compare

Washington, D.C.—Supplier executive members of the MEMA Center for Sustainability Steering Committee are set to take the stage at the Center’s Sustainability Summit on Aug. 15. The panel, titled “My Sustainability Journey,” will feature:

  • Ed Edwards — President and CEO, Circuit Board Medics
  • Maureen Kline — Vice President, Public Affairs and Sustainability, Pirelli Tire North America
  • Jill Kupcak — Corporate Office of Sustainability and EHS, North America Region, Robert Bosch LLC
  • Santosh Singh — Senior Vice President, HR, Legal, Government Relations, and Corporate Communications, North America, DENSO

The segment will bring these executives together to discuss their organization’s sustainability journeys. Attendees can glean benchmarking information from the panel discussion as well as an understanding of how their own sustainability journeys compare.

“The path to sustainability is a new venture for many vehicle suppliers,” said John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. “Hearing first-hand accounts from executive peers will provide beneficial information that can help attendees as they build their own sustainability and ESG roadmaps.”

Sustainability: Competing in Today’s Environment is a full-day conference co-hosted by the MEMA Center for Sustainability and MEMA Government Affairs. The event will bring together executive leaders, customers, sustainability professionals, and government experts to discuss the platforms in sustainability and ESG.

Topics will include forced labor prevention, funding opportunities available through the federal government, customer requirements and reporting, and executive and customer perspectives.

Executives and professionals from all MEMA member companies — automotive and commercial vehicle, original equipment and aftermarket — who manage aspects of sustainability and ESG within their organizations are invited to attend the event. The program is ideal for small to middle market companies, but companies of all sizes will gain insight from the program.

The event will be held on Aug. 15, at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, Mich.

MEMA members and non-members are invited to attend. Discounted pricing is available for multiple attendees from the same MEMA member company. Event information can be found on mema.org/sustainability.
