Edwards founded Circuit Board Medics in 2010, beginning as a one-person garage operation that has grown into a company of more than 100 employees
Research Triangle Park, N.C.—Ed Edwards, founder and CEO of Circuit Board Medics (CBM), has been named the recipient of the 2025 Michael Cardone Leadership Award. The honor was presented by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers on last month during AAPEX 2025 in Las Vegas. The award recognizes outstanding leadership in remanufacturing and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Edwards was selected for his service to the industry, his dedication to high-quality and sustainable manufacturing and the strong culture he has built at Circuit Board Medics.
“Ed Edwards serves the remanufacturing industry with dignity as a brand ambassador, customer advocate and strong leader,” said John Chalifoux, chief operating officer, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. “He exemplifies the attributes and forward-thinking that this award was created to celebrate.”
Edwards founded Circuit Board Medics in 2010, beginning as a one-person garage operation that has grown into a company of more than 100 employees. Based in Greenville, S.C., Circuit Board Medics remanufactures automotive electronics, appliance control boards and circuit boards used throughout other industries.
MEMA stated that the company’s culture is rooted in trust, selflessness, communication and service to others. Team members approach their work with passion and a commitment to making a meaningful difference for their customers. The company’s vision is reflected in three guiding words: Care. Serve. Restore.
“Good leaders build good tribes, and I’ve been blessed with an incredible tribe at Circuit Board Medics,” Edwards said. “The people and the stories we’ve created through our remanufacturing services are what will last far beyond any single accomplishment. I’m grateful for this honor and for the opportunity the team at MEMA has given us to be part of a larger tribe that is committed to excellence in remanufacturing.”
Circuit Board Medics participates in the Manufactured Again Certification program, which holds remanufacturing and new manufacturing to the same international quality standards. Edwards is also an active contributor to the broader industry. He serves on the MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers CEO Council and is a founding steering committee member of the MEMA Center for Sustainability. In 2024, Circuit Board Medics hosted the MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Remanufacturing Roadshow, giving members a tour of the facility and providing warm hospitality that reflected the culture of the organization.
