Classic Collision acquires three SoCal Signature Auto Collision shops

Established in Chino 29 years ago by Wayne Tate, Signature moved and expanded to Hesperia, Barstow and Phelan with co-owner Ryan Wilson joining the operations

Chino, Calif.—FOCUS Advisors has announced the sale of its client, Signature Auto Collision, to Classic Collision of Atlanta. Signature operates three shops in Southern California in the High Desert area north of San Bernardino. Established in Chino 29 years ago by Wayne Tate, Signature moved and expanded to Hesperia, Barstow and Phelan with co-owner Ryan Wilson joining the operations.

Focus Advisors’ Managing Director David Roberts said, “Wayne and Ryan built a strong operation with multiple DRPs and strong customer and staff loyalty demonstrated over many years. We’re happy we helped them find the right partner to carry on their legacy.”

The acquisition marks Classic Collision’s second acquisition into the Southern California market.  Classic now operates 65 shops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and California. CEO Toan Nguyen said, “Signature Auto Collision has an integral reputation in San Bernardino county, and we are pleased to welcome all of the courteous, competent, and helpful team members to the Classic Collision Family. We expect to continue our rapid market growth in the Southern California market.”

Signature co-owner Ryan Wilson commented, “We had multiple parties interested in our MSO. We chose Classic as the best fit for our staff and their futures.”

Co-owner Wayne Tate recalled, “As someone who has previously sold a collision repair business, I knew we needed professional assistance to avoid the inevitable missteps and challenges. The process run by FOCUS set us up for success and got us across the finish line on time with the right partner.”
