Following a severe winter storm, Jerry Smith’s home sustained significant damage as he faces recent health challenges
Ashford, Wash.—A GoFundMe page has launched to support longtime northwest industry veteran Jerry Smith.

Following a severe winter storm, Smith’s home sustained significant damage, creating urgent repair needs and temporary housing challenges. With limited immediate assistance available — and compounded by recent health challenges — his situation has become especially difficult.
For decades, Smith has been a mentor, advocate, and trusted friend to the Northwest Auto Care Alliance (NWACA) and to the automotive industry as a whole.
“His vision and leadership helped lay the foundation for what we proudly know today as the Automotive Training Expo (ATE), and his influence has shaped generations of shop owners, technicians, and leaders across our region,” stated NWACA Collision Chair Micah Strom. “Many of us are where we are today because Jerry invested his time, energy, and heart into this industry.
“Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference during this challenging time. Jerry has spent a lifetime giving back to our industry. Now it is our turn to give back to him.”
